The project ”Capacity Building, Africa, Electrical Power Systems” is a collaboration between Swedish and African universities, supported by Swedish trade and industry.
 
The aim of this project and collaboration is:
- To contribute to the development of both new and existing companies and businesses in Ludvika / Smedjebacken.
- To provide in-depth knowledge of their needs and a strong network of contacts in the region.
- To contribute to Sweden's efforts to support the development in southern and eastern Africa.

Parts involved in the collaboration are: University in Addis Ababa, ABB, KTH, Chalmers
A feasibility study was carried out during 2015.
